Monday: Teacher Work Day

Tuesday: The children had to remember all of the interesting things they did over Thanksgiving Break. Once they remembered something they told a teacher about it. Then they drew a picture about what they did and wrote about their picture.

Wednesday: We read the story Little Cloud and how he turned into many different things such as a tree, a shark, a rabbit, and a man with a hat. Then the children got to paint their own cloud and tell about what it turned into.

Thursday: We worked on making patterns out of unifex cubes. We created a few different samples of patterns and then the children got to create their own patterns.

Friday: We created a book for our Janitor who left. The children never got to meet him but knew they he would come in after they left to clean our room. They all did a great job coloring him a picture.

Large Group

Monday: Teacher Work Day

Tuesday: We danced around to the song “Shake Your Silly’s Out”. The children got to move and dance around to get all of their wiggles out.

Wednesday: We did the song called “Alligator Chomp”. We have done this song a couple other times and they children are getting so good at it. They have to listen to the music first and then clap their hands to the beat.

Thursday: We read the story “There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly” again. We are working on the sequence of the story.

Friday: We read the story “There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Fly”. This time we used the flannel board to help the children have a visual to what came next in the story.
