Tuesday: PLC Day!

Wednesday: We read a book called “Where is the spider?” There was a ring spider attached to a piece of yarn that the children used to tell where the spider was. Sometimes, the spider was on the pumpkin, or jumping off the web, over some trick-or-treaters, under the tree, in a box, beside a bundle of hay, and behind the page. The children did a really good job of placing their spiders in the correct places.

Thursday: We created our very own “Leaf Man”. The children got a popsicle stick, then were able to choose some different leaves, a nose, and some eyes. The children loved creating their own “Leaf Man” and did a wonderful job!

Friday: The children are very interested in pumpkins! We got some pumpkins, split them in half and let the children dig inside of them and explore. Some of the children liked it and some of them didn’t.

Large Group

Monday: We got out the bean bags and danced to the song “Shake Your Bean Bag”. The children had to listen to the words of the song and balance their bean bags on different body parts. After that song, we listened to the song “Pass the Bean Bag”. The children had to listen to the rhythm of the music to hear it go fast or slow to see how they should pass their bean bag.

Tuesday: PLC Day!

Wednesday: We learned a new song called “Alligator Chomp”. The children had to listen first to a beat that was created, then they had to repeat the beat by clapping their hands together.

Thursday: We read the book “Leaf Man” written by Lois Ehlert. This story was about a munch of leaves that created a man, then the wind blew it away and created a bunch of different animals and items throughout the rest of the story. When we finished the story we were able to create our own “Leaf Man”.

Friday: We discussed a bunch of different things we knew about pumpkins before we cut into them. We then created a poster labeling all of the different information we knew about pumpkins and what we learned about pumpkins after cutting into them. Then we sang the song “Looking for Dracula”.

***At the end of the day we have been creating our own stories. We go around the circle and each child gets to say a part of the story. They have been creating some very interesting stories!***
