Framers Collection Cards

Overview

092803constconventionThe Framers of the Constitution were some of the most influential men from the various states in 1787.  Try to imagine the interest generated about the background of each of these individuals.  A young entrepreneur is trying to take advantage of this interest by producing collectable trading cards.

Task

You are part of the team of individuals who have been asked to research the background of these individuals and produce the card with their picture and biographical information.

Steps

1. Access the links in the Resource Section and select an individual to research.  There can be only one card created for each individual, so it is on a first-come first-served basis.

2. Access each of the sites to find out information to include on the card.  You must have a picture and these categories on your card:

  • State Representing
  • Age
  • Education
  • Jobs
  • Social Standing
  • Contributions to the Convention
  • Federalist or Antifederalist (with a reason)
  • Role in Government After the Convention

3. Create this information in a word document.

4. Print it out for use in class on Wednesday.  If you do not have access to a printer, submit it to the Period One folder using these directions.
