Native American Regions

Intro

The goal of this activity is to find out information about some of the Native American cultures present in North America prior to the arrival of Columbus. This examination will reveal the diversity present in the continent. Your task is to demonstrate your understanding of what you read by accurately completing a series of Google Doc forms as you go.  Read Carefully!

Steps

1. Follow the steps in this video tutorial to have your browser set up most easily to complete the assignment.

2. Click on this link for the Native American Culture Regions in one of your tabs.  Leave the other tab on our class page.

3. You must explore the regions in the following order. In the tab labelled “Index,” you will click on the correct region from the map based on title or color.

4.  In this tab, you will click on the link for each of the first four regions, in order, to open up the corresponding Google Doc.

5. The last two regions do not require a Google Doc, so browse through the regions trying to identify how the Native Americans of the region adapted to their environment.
