Spanish 2

1) We reviewed 3.1 vocabulary with flashcards and a written activity.

2) We added 3 more verbs like gustar to our notes: encantar – to love activities or things; interesar – to interest; importar – to be important, to matter. These verbs are used just like gustar and quedar.

3) We filled out a 3×5 notecard with one thing we love, one thing we’re interested in, and one thing that’s important to us. [Me encanta(n)… Me interesa(n)… Me importa(n)…]

**Ask for a notecard and fill it out; then turn it in to me. I will use it to have a conversation with you.**

4) We found our Unidad 3 partners. We will do speaking activities and sometimes writing activities with these people.

**Take the list with your name on it from the left, front folder.**

5) La tarea – a half-sheet of questions about Puerto Rico. The information comes from pp. 140-141 in your book.

**Take a copy of the questions from the left, front folder.**

1) Practicamos el uso de la expresión “Ojalá que…”

2) Practicamos el uso del subjuntivo con los verbos “querer, desear, esperar”.

3) Escribimos la Actividad 6, p. 218, para ver si de verdad entendemos el subjuntivo.

**Escribe tus respuestas y ponlas en la caja de “Tarea aquí”.**

4) Leímos un libro sobre Sonia Sotomayor, una de las 9 jueces de la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos.

**Toma una copia de la lectura y de las preguntas.**

5) La tarea – terminar las preguntas sobre Sonia.

6) Recuerda que nuestro examen será el viernes, 15 de enero.
