1) We danced to celebrate Friday!
2) I marked credit for the homework assignment – the 1/2-sheet of questions over the Celia Castillo and Margarita Vallejo readings.

3) PERIODS 1 AND 2 – We reviewed stem-changing verbs and practiced conjugations of these verbs.
PERIODS 4 AND 5 – We wrote notes about stem-changing verbs on a verb chart and then practiced conjugating these verbs.
**Take the 1/2-sheet of practice (and a verb chart if you do not have one).**
4)) We reviewed the last topic of the Lección Preliminar – talking about what you are going to do in the future. You use “the correct form of the verb “ir” + a + an infinitive. [Examples: Juan va a cortar el césped. (Juan is going to mow the lawn.) Vamos a visitar a los abuelos. (We are going to visit our grandparents.)]
5) La tarea – a half-sheet to practice “ir + a + infinitive” – what you are going to do.
**Take a copy from the left, front folder.**

7) Our first TEST will be next Friday, September 11th! Use the long weekend to practice whatever you need to practice from the Lección Preliminar. Remember that the Internet Resources page has lots of activities for you. I recommend the ClassZone website that accompanies our book. Also, Quizlet is another good site for vocabulary practice. (You can find links for both on my Internet Resources page.)
