Spanish 2

1) I marked credit for the homework assignment – Ricitos de Oro y los 3 Osos. (PERIOD 7 did not do this activity.)

2) We learned how to talk about 2 things that were going on at the same time in the past. You use the imperfect for both verbs. Examples: Ayer yo miraba la televisión mientras mi esposo trabajaba en la computadora. (Yesterday I was watching T.V. while my husband was working on the computer.) Mi hermana hablaba con mi mamá y yo lavaba los platos. (My sister was talking to my mother and I was washing the dishes.)

3) We did a worksheet in class to get more practice with the preterite and the imperfect – Gramática C.

4) We read “La leyenda del tlacuache y el fuego,” pp. 214-215 in our books, and then watched a YouTube version of it. This is a good example of a legend that explains something in nature (why opossums have hairless tails). It also gives a good moral lesson: be generous with what you have!

5) We talked briefly about the expectations for the original legend/story you will plan next Tuesday and then write next Wednesday.

6) La tarea – a 1/2-sheet (yellow) to practice vocabulary.

7) Thursday, April 2nd, is the last day for Show and Tell!

8) Students saw their 4.1 QUIZ results. Ask to see yours.

1) Los estudiantes tomaron el examen sobre la Unidad 6.1.

**Tómalo lo más pronto posible. Habla conmigo para decidir cuándo lo puedes tomar.**

2) La tarea – empezar a estudiar el vocabulario de 6.2.
