Spanish 2

PERIODS 2, 4, 5:

1) We practiced sentences with interruptions. (Yo leía el periódico cuando me hija me llamó. I was reading the newspaper when my daughter called.)

2) We used the story of Caperucita Roja (Little Red Riding Hood) to practice the preterite and the imperfect.

**Take a copy from the left folders, circle the correct verb for each sentence, then ask to see the answer key.** (I will not mark credit for this activity, BUT it is great practice so I encourage you to do it.)

3) We also used the story of Ricitos de Oro y los 3 Osos (Goldilocks and the 3 Bears) to practice the preterite and the imperfect. This time we had to decide which verb tense to use (preterite or imperfect) and then produce the correct form.

**Take a copy of the story from the left, front folders. Complete the story and ask to see the answer key. Show me your completed sheet for credit.**

4) La tarea – Finish the Ricitos de Oro y los 3 Osos sheet.

PERIODO 7:

1) I marked credit for the homework assignment – the worksheet “La leyenda de Popocatépetl e Ixtaccihuátl” where you identified the verb, marking it “P” or “I” and then wrote the reason for using the preterite or the imperfect.

**Ask to see the answer key and then put your answers in the “Tarea aquí” box.**

2) We learned how to write sentences with the preterite and the imperfect. Example: I was reading (imperfect-what I was doing) the newspaper when my daughter called me (interruption). Yo leía el periódico cuando mi hija me llamó.

3) We used the story of Little Red Riding Hood to practice deciding whether to use the preterite or the imperfect.

Español 3-4 Combinado

1) Marqué crédito para la tarea – las tres actividades del libro (Acts. 2, 3, 4, pp. 354-355).

**Muéstrame tus respuestas y pide la hoja de respuestas oficiales.**

2) Repasamos la información que vimos en el video sobre Andalucía con Rick Steve.

3) Leímos la Comparación Cultural en la página 344. Aprendimos las diferencias entre el flamenco clásico y el flamenco moderno. Después vimos un video representativo de cada tipo de flamenco y hablamos de nuestras preferencias, etc.

4) Vimos un video de David Bisbal – El ruido – para escuchar una canción más reciente de él.

5) Jugamos “Mini Matamoscas” para practicar el vocabulario de la Unidad 6.1.

6) La tarea – estudiar para el examen sobre la Unidad 6.1. Será el miércoles, primero de abril.
