Spanish IV is a course taught mostly in Spanish that emphasizes writing, reading, and civilization. The students’ speaking and listening comprehension skills are strengthened daily. Literature (mainly articles and short stories or poems) will help students learn about the culture of the Spanish speaking world (in particular Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Spain, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay).We will cover 8 units in the text, ¡AVANCEMOS!, Level 3/4. Each unit contains 2 lessons and we will spend approximately 2-3 weeks on each lesson. There is usually a quiz every week or so, and then a test, project or a combination of the two at the end of the lesson. A final exam will be given at the end of each semester.
