I have a special place in my heart for 1st grade. I spent the first 10 weeks of my student teaching in a 1st grade classroom, and am amazed by the learning that happens at this time in a child’s life! From reciting letters to writing sentences, counting numbers to introducing fractions, reading words to reading books – – I am amazed at how much these little brains learn to do in one year!
