Dr. Riley needs our help!!!

Do you have old socks that you can’t find a match to, or socks that have holes in them????  DON’T throw them away; let’s recycle them into erasers for the dry erase boards!  Please consider donating these old clean socks for the classroom.

What’s that you say? You don’t have any old socks to donate; the classroom could always use the following items:

Prescott School Neighborhood Advisory Meeting- January 31st, 6:30 pm

Dear Prescott community members,
As we begin a new year we would like to invite you to be part of the decision making team regarding important school and community related issues and fundraising efforts for the Prescott outdoor space. Over the years, a great effort has been put into transforming the outdoor space with amazing outcomes. As you know, this space is open to all our community members not just Prescott students and their families and the SNAC group, comprised of Prescott parents, staff and neighbors, has been taking the leadership on beautifying it and maintaining it. An important item on the agenda will be the discussion around how we want to utilize the existing fundraised money as well as future fundraising plans. The Walkathon is the only fundraising event that the SNAC group plans for and implements. Over the years, SNAC has also discussed safety issues and organized, in partnership with the Health Department, several safety events. The Near South Neighborhood Association has been a long-term  partner as well. The most recent addition to the school, the new entrance was possible with their support. During the meeting, we will also update you on the Community Café process and our hope to have the first gathering soon.
Your ideas are important to us and we hope that you can fit this meeting into your busy schedules. We meet in the media center on Tuesday, January 31st, at 6:30pm.
Sincerely,
Cristina Keen

Welcome Back!

The Pride of All Prescott, our 5th grade class, is welcomed back for the 2nd half of the 2016-2017 year!

It can be challenging to come back to school after a long break but we know our 5th graders are ready for the challenge.

We are halfway through our final year of elementary school. Now is not a time to set the cruise control and coast. Now is the time to put the pedal to the metal and charge forward. We have a lot of school left and we haven’t even hit the hard stuff yet.
