jello casserole

Ingredients:

1 package of orange jello
1 package of vanilla
1 package of tapioca pudding
1 can of mandarin oranges
3 cups of cold water
4 oz of whipped topping any brand except cool whip

Directions:

Bring orange jello, tapioca pudding, vanilla pudding, and cold water to a boil on medium heat boil for 4
Minutes then cool completely.  Add mandarin oranges and whipped topping. Let it sit in fridge overnight

Homemade Hot Sauce

Ingredients

1 Can Tomato Sauce

1 1/2 tsp. of Garlic Salt

1 1/2 tsp. of Onion Powder

2 tsp. Ground Pepper Flakes

Ground Pepper to Taste

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix together well so one ingredient does not out taste the others. If tomato taste is still to strong then add more garlic salt and onion powder until tomato taste is gone.

Serve with chips or any Mexican dish.

Cinnamon Toast – The Right Way

Ingredients

4 slices of bread

1/4 cup softened margarine

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Smush softened margarine with a fork. Dump in sugar, cinnamon, vanilla. Stir to completely combine.

spread on slices of bread, completely covering the surface all the way to the edges.

Place toast on a cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet into the oven and bake for 8 minutes. Turn on the broiler and broil until golden brown and bubbling. Watch it so it wont burn!

Remove from oven and cunt slices into halves diagonally.

Sarah’s Applesauce

Ingredients

4 apples- peeled, cored, and chopped

3/4 cup water

1/4 cup white sugar

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions

In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover,  and cook over medium heat for 15-20 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.

Orange Frosty

Ingredients

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla

1 6oz. can frozen orange juice

1 tray ice cubes’

1/3 cup powdered milk and 1 1/2 cups water OR 2 cans evaporated milk

Directions

Mix together in a blender the sugar, 1/2 cup milk, vanilla and frozen orange juice. Blend on medium until well-mixed. Continue blending and add ice cubes 2 at a time. Then add the powdered milk or canned milk. Makes 4 servings.

Italian BBQ Marinade

Ingredients

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup Italian dressing

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

Whisk together marinade ingredients in a gallon Ziploc bag.

Place meet in bag, seal and shake well until all meat is cover

with marinade. Marinate pork, chicken or beef overnight in

the refrigerator, turning at least once so one side of meat is

not only in marinade. Remove meat from marinade and grill.

Brush left over marinade on meat while grilling for deeper

flavor.

*This is enough for 2 pounds of meat*

Sweet Southern Salsa

Ingrediants

1 can of black beans

2 cans of shoepeg corn

1 red pepper

1/2 green onion

crumbled fetta cheese (optional)

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup apple sider

1/4 cup sugar

Directions

Mix 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup apple sider, and 1/4 cup sugar. Next rinse the black beans. Add the rinsed black beans and shoepeg corn into the mixture. Cut the red pepper and half of the green onion into small cubes. Then add the peppers and onions into the mixture. Add the cheese into the mixture before serving if wanted.

Joe’s college chicken & rice

Ingredients

4 cups white rice

1 package of chicken breast

1 package of fresh mushrooms

2-3 eggs (enough to coat chicken)

1 green pepper

1/2 green onion

bread crumbs (enough to coat chicken)

1 brick of monterey jack cheese

chicken broth (to cook rice instead of water)

Directions

Cook 4 cups of rice in chicken broth following packaged instructions. Dice onion, peppers, and mushrooms, saute in butter. Place in casserole dish. Pound/flatten chicken breast. Coat chicken in eggs and bread crumbs. Slice monterey jack cheese. Wrap the chicken around the cheese with a tooth pick. Brown the chicken in a skillet. Add into the casserole bowl. Sprinkle any cheese over chicken and cover in tin foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 mins. Remove tin foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
