Currently, the 7th grade health students are presenting their projects about a given chronic disease. We will finish up the chronic disease unit in a couple weeks, then start growth & development. Parents: expect a letter to come home sometime next week. This will discuss the growth & development unit.
Let’s finish the semester and school year strong!

Don’t forget to turn in all your missing work and get any quizzes/tests made up soon! The end of the quarter is quickly approaching.
Students will be bringing home a letter later this week that provides information about our next unit: All Stars. Please read the letter and let me know if you have any concerns. You may see a copy of the letter by clicking on the link below.
Hi all! Next week mid-quarter grade reports will be sent home. Please check to make sure you have everything turned in! Keep up the good work! 🙂

Hello! 2nd quarter is underway in health and the students are about to begin their unit about chronic diseases! During this unit, students are assigned a project, where they must research a disease (that is assigned to them) and put together a visual (such as a powerpoint) to share information with the class. Students will be working on this project the week of November 3. As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or joys to share with me, feel free to contact me! Enjoy this nice fall weather! 🙂

Hello Parents/Guardians & Students:
We began our ALLSTARS unit on Thursday of last week. During this unit, students will be doing more group work and having to complete a few “take-home” assignments. These assignments encourage students to have conversations with a trusted adult about issues that could possibly affect their futures.
This week are Parent/Teacher Conferences (Monday & Thursday evenings from 3:45-6:45pm). I encourage everyone to stop by and see me, even if you aren’t concerned about your student’s grade. I will be located in the cafeteria!
Parents: Thanks for all you do to support your student. Students: Thanks for working hard in class!
~Ms. Nelson~
