Dear Team 5 Parents:
Welcome to your student’s final year of elementary school! Thank you to those of you who were able to make it to Safe Walk To School last night. It was wonderful to meet you. If you weren’t able to make it, we look forward to meeting you soon. Remember we have Family Learning Night coming up on August 25th and Parent/Teacher Conferences coming up October 4th, 5th and 6th.
Below are a couple of key items, which were mentioned last night that we wanted to be sure everyone knows.
On Monday, August 15th ALL STUDENTS (except kindergarten) will ENTER the building through the FRONT DOORS and proceed into the auditorium for the welcoming assembly.
Starting Tuesday, August 16th, 5th Grade students will enter the building through Doors 6 and 7 and proceed to the gym.
After school, because of the on-going construction, 5th grade students will exit the building through Door 9. They will not be allowed to walk east on Harwood Street without going to the corner and crossing the street with Mr. Dan.
When the construction is over, we will be able to exit through the new and improved door 8.

On Wednesday, August 24th, LPS 5th grade students will attend the Lincoln Saltdogs baseball game in Haymarket Park. Please see informational letter on page 8 of this newsletter. We will have to order lunches for students right away. Teachers will be taking a count on Friday, August 19th of students planning on ordering a sack lunch from the school. Please talk with your student ahead of time and plan accordingly.
