Creative Clothing
Students will be responsible for 500 points throughout the term to receive an A. They will receive a maximum of points from the following areas: project points (230 summative points), book work (135 summative points), time management (135 formative points).

Your student is currently enrolled in Creative Clothing. Creative Clothing can help meet his/her Career and Technical Education graduation requirement. This class is very individualized and therefore can be taken more than one time for credit.

With the individualized curriculum, grading is a little different in this class.   Students are working on accumulating points in this class. Once the intro unit in complete, I take the total number of project points and bookwork points and divide it by the number of weeks left in the term. Typically, a student should earn on average 35 points per week (15 bookwork and 20 project). If a student is working on a big project, I will go back and fill in points once he/she is finished with his/her project. Bookwork is optional but the points aren’t. If a student chooses not to do the bookwork, he/she will need to complete extra project points to cover those points and the grade book will show he/she has a zero for each bookwork assignment or the notes will indicate that he/she completed another project for those points.

For projects, student will need to choose either choice 1 or 2. Choice 1 is for a student whom would prefer he/she makes a series of prescribed projects. The projects on this list are small and require for little if any fabric to be purchased. The walker caddy and quilt projects will be donated to local charities. Choice two is for a student whom wish to have more choice about what they work on, my be willing to purchase fabric and want more of a challenge. A student should not make the same project more than two times without teacher approval. You student is required to bring back their contract for his/her chose path.
