Some 7th grade LACA students had the opportunity to tour The Career Academy. Students toured labs in many of the Career Pathways. They saw lab spaces related to Culinary, Precision Machining, Engineering, Welding, and many more! They even got to see a 3D Printer in action!

Congrats to all students who earned A’s and B’s during Quarter 1! Students enjoyed donuts and juice and earned a certificate and star to hang in the hallway. Keep up the hard work!

On Aug 15, 2015 Mrs. Hanseling earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology/School Counseling.

Well, 6th grade is officially in the books! 7th grade, here we come! Just a reminder that all grade level counselors travel with their students to the next grade. I will now be the “7th grade counselor” at Mickle.

6th grade students ended their school year with a field trip to the Sheldon Museum of Art right here in Lincoln, NE. Students enjoyed a walking tour of the Sculpture Garden on UNL’s city campus.

Some of our outstanding 6th grade leaders attended the 2nd annual Link N leaders event yesterday at UNL. The purpose of the event was to recognize 3rd-6th grade students in LPS who exhibit loyalty, trust, teamwork, respect, and integrity.
