Please watch for our class Gingerbread Man to come home to your house for a visit! Here are the expectations:

  1. Read the book The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School. (You can read the book aloud to your child, you can read it together, or you can relax as your second grader reads to you!)
  2. Include the Gingerbread Man in your evening activities.
  3. Have your child write and draw about what the Gingerbread Man does with you.
  4. Return the bag with all supplies (book, journal, Gingerbread Man, box of crayons, mechanical pencil)

Please keep the Gingerbread safe and out of reach of pets and/or little brothers and sisters while he is staying with you. Be sure to keep all of the supplies in the bag, so that all can be returned tomorrow. The next student will be anxiously waiting to take him home tomorrow night!

***Please mark your calendars for the artists’ reception from 10 am – 12 pm on Saturday, December 5th. The second graders prints will be on display at the Lux Center on N. 48th Street. If you have any questions, please contact Miss Alonzo.

manI can’t wait to read the Gingerbread journal!
