PE Objectives

Physical Skills:

    1 – Dance: perform specific patterns and seqences to music.

    2 – Fitness Activities: perform basic skills and techniques in fitness activities.

    3 – Individual / Dual Sport  Activities: perform skills and tactics in game-like situations.

    4 – Team Sport Activities: perform skills and tactics in game-like situations.

Knowledge :

    1 – Demonstrate knowledge of rules of game / activities.

    2 – Identify and apply strategies and tactics within game play.

    3 – Define elements of movement skills

Physical Activity / Fitness:

    1 – Participate regularly in physical activities in both school and non-school settings.

    2 – Accumlate 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activities each day.

    3 – Set personal physical activity goals.

    4 – Explain principles of conditioning that enhance health-related fitness.

    5 – Achieve personal fitness based on criterion-referenced standards.

Physical Activity Behavior :

    1 – Participate cooperatively in physical activity with persons of diverse characteristics and backgrounds.

    2 – Make responsible decisions to resolve and avoid conflicts.

    3 – Understand and follow class rules related to safety practices and procedures.
