Researching, researching, researching…

For the last several weeks we have been learning about and practicing the research process.  After each student chose a topic of their choice to learn about, we spent time learning about research skills.   Some of those were website evaluation and accessing of sources, note taking strategies, and correct citation of sources, among others.  Here are some students finding information from a variety of sources in the Media Center:

Currently we are working on turning our notes into paragraphs with clear topic sentences, and then writing compelling introductions and conclusions, with thesis statements!  Whew!  What a lot of work!  The students are definitely learning a lot.
