About Me

I have been teaching in LPS since 2003. I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, a science minor, and an interscholastic coaching endorsement. I have earned two Masters degrees from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. The first in 2009 through the Math in the Middle program and the second in 2018 in Educational Administration.

I taught at Park Middle School for 8 years and Lux Middle School for the 8 years following. My teaching assignment in those buildings included 7th/8th grade reading, 6th grade language arts, social studies, science, math 6, math 6D, and math interventions. I coached volleyball, cross country, and track for the Panthers and the Lightning. Additionally, I served as a team leader, athletic director and instructional committee chair.

I joined an incredible team of LPS teachers in 2019 as a professional learning coach and supported the staff and students at Lux, East, NEC, Yankee Hill and TCA.  In 2020, I joined the staffs of Dawes Middle School and Pershing Elementary to support students and teachers as an MTSS-B/Behavior coach.

I have been married to my husband, Scott, since 2005 and we have two daughters, Abby and Sabrina. We also share our home with our dog, Pippin. As a family we enjoy traveling and camping.  I enjoy running and compete in several local racing events including the Lincoln Marathon, Market to Market Relay, and various 10K races between Lincoln and Omaha.
