6th grade science is blocked into 4 different units, one for each quarter of the school year. The following are the 4 units of study:
Students in this course will be expected to utilize the textbook to complete daily notes using the assigned note-taking task. They will also participate in whole group and cooperative team discussions, adhere to safety standards when completing science labs, and prepare themselves for assessments over the curricular content. Homework will typically consist of studying vocabulary terms and reviewing content discussed in class. However, worksheets or questions from the book will be assigned periodically to assess for content mastery.
