Celebrations:

  • 5th grade teachers believe students are behaviorally on track and more instruction is happening
  • Kindergarten students are making great progress!
  • Table Captains in 1st grade at lunch with Christina and Trish.

Logistics: Common Areas (school-wide, non-classroom, classroom)

  • 4th grade lunch/recess (12:55-1:30)
    • Jennie at the bottom step on South side
    • More help from Michelle for a short period of time
    • Line orders from all – give to Annette and Dr. B
    • Switch upstairs – in hallway –Susie will go up to help
  • 5th grade – boys bathroom
    • early afternoon and late morning is a busy time in restroom—keep close eye on who is leaving and the condition of the restroom.
    • Teachers: Please continue to check clipboard when walk by.
    • Teachers: Please teach students to respond if adult is asking if anyone is in the bathroom.
  • 3rd grade
    • check in and check out sheet – when students use the bathroom
  • Dismissal
    • Teachers: Please walk students to the yellow posts – teachers must stay there to make sure all students are taken care of
    • Michelle can help out back to help slow things down.
    • Middle schoolers are standing by posts –please move them on – maybe help them find a better place to meet siblings.
  • Kindergaren lunch
    • Line up after lunch changing: Huebert and Barnes to arch. Spangler and Rupp to crossroads by door 7.
  • Dismissal from Susie’s room
    • Discussion – Kindergarten at front door at 3:35
    • 3rd & 4th out by Susie’s door at 3:30 with backpacks inside to help with traffic
  • Vandalism – if a student ruins furniture it is an automatic office referral.
  • Data Sharing:
    • Using pink sheet – if happens in EAT or different classroom, please note where on the pink page.
    • If student goes to buddy room, sending teacher calls students’ home.
    • Remind teachers to look at data on google doc. (with Michelle and with each other) Michelle has met once with each team. Second round of data meetings starts next week.
    • Office calls way down
  • Resource Coordination: PBIS, BIST, SFCC
    • Michelle – lessening teacher load by using protective plans as SAP process – more to come at staff meeting
    • Nancy will be glad to assist with any students that may be struggling. She is reading and willing. See Annette or Michelle to schedule.
    • Katie Reisdorf (BIST) will be working with all paras on her days here to build continuity with BIST language and expectations.
    • Please talk to paras directly if you need them to do something differently. This will internalize the direction and build ability for para to adjust to different expectations that teachers have in their individual rooms. (If you need assistance after talking with the para because changes aren’t being made, please see Wendy or Annette.)
