Week One:
8/13 We will discuss the expectations for the course. We will hypothesize and discuss the different types of symbiotic relationships of certain organism “Good Buddies”

8/18 We will distinguish between community and population and discuss ways that describe population growth and the factors that affect pop growth.
8/19 We will learn a new reading strategy designed for understanding what you read and will practice using the reading strategy in class.
8/27 We will categorize the different types of organisms based on how they get their food.
10/27 We will determine the location of the particles, charge, mass, location and anything else that you have learned about the 3 subatomic particles.
We will describe what happens to the atom when you change the amount of each subatomic particle.
We will be able to explain what makes the atom stable/unstable.
We will be able to recognize and identify the 4 different macromolecules and explain their function and structure.
We will be able to read a graph about a chemical reaction and describe how an enzyme changes the reaction rate.

Photosynthesis and Respiration:
- We will compare and contrast photosynthesis and cellular respiration in terms of: purpose, location, reactants and products and types of organisms.
