Ecology Learning Objectives:

Matter and Energy in Ecosystems:

1.  We will construct a model ecosystem
2. We will observed interactions in a model ecosystem
3. We will compare a model ecosystem with a natural ecosystem
4. We will infer the types of limiting factors that affect population density, distribution and change.
5. We will differentiate between weather and climate  9/30-10/1
6. We will discuss the factors that affect climate 9/30-10/1
7. We will observe the different climates around the Earth and provide reasons why some organisms may be betters suited to survive in some climates than others. 10/1

Quarter 2

Photosynthesis and Respiration:

1.  We will compare and contrast photosynthesis and cellular respiration in terms of:   purpose, location, reactants and products and types of organisms.
