About Me

FISHER

Welcome to my about me page! Let me take a minute to introduce myself.  I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska.   I am a Lincoln Public Schools graduate myself.  I attended Fredstrom Elementary School, Goodrich Middle School, and Lincoln Northeast High School.  Go Rockets!!

I attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education Dec 2006.  Go Big Red!  I moved to Olathe, Kansas in July 2007 and began teaching, Kindergarten at Indian Creek Elementary.   I taught there for four years and then returned home to be closer to friends and family.  I am so glad to be back and teaching here in Lincoln!

This is my seventh year teaching kindergarten and I love it!! I am so glad to be a part of the Huntington Elementary Team!   In my spare time I love to swim, walk, paint, travel, cross stitch, read, go to plays or musicals, play with my cat Dezmond, and play with my new niece, Kaiya.  I am really enjoying being a first time Aunt.

One of my favorite vacations was when I had the  opportunity to go to New York.  I got to see several musicals: Wicked and Phantom of the Opera.  It is hard to say which one was my favorite they were both an amazing experience.  I also got to see Rockefeller Center, Ground Zero,  the Statue of Liberty,  and Ellis Island.  I enjoyed shopping and the site seeing but was glad to return to Nebraska.  There was a lot of nice green space missing in New York!

In May 2015 I am hoping to begin my Master’s degree!  I am so excited to be you child’s teacher.  I look forward to working with you and your children this year!  Go Huntington Eagles!
