2. iPads management updates: LPS Tag Management
  • Currently: Allows for district – programs wide app purchasesScreen Shot 2015-04-28 at 6.27.39 AM
  • Starting in September 2015: Allows for teachers to request apps from the LPS-EC Approve App List using their enhancement funds.  Devices are installed to appropriate LPS tag number.
    • Getting your favorite EC apps on the approved list
    • EC Apps Review Committee: We would like to have 4 teachers who are active in integrating technology and researching apps to join this committee.  The committee’s work will entail:
      1. Download, review and approve the apps suggested through the EC app review form.
      2. Meet once a quarter to update the LPS-EC Approve App ListScreen Shot 2015-04-28 at 6.25.08 AM

Why this process for getting apps to the EC Approved Apps List?  1. To save app review time when requesting apps beginning in September 2015.  2. To use our own expertise to best match quality apps to our program’s curriculum and outcomes.  3. To make a list of recommended quality educational apps for all teachers, families and the community -this list is accessible to teachers, principals, families and the community via the Early Childhood iPads Site.

  1. How would you like to be supported in the use of technology next year?  What are your needs?
  2. What do parents need to know about technology to be safe and savvy in the 21st century – Do we need training for this? What would it look like?
  3. How can you use technology to best meet the needs of ALL students?  What resources do you need to make this happen?
  4. Soap Box: Is there anything regarding technology in your classroom that concerns you?
  5. What are your favorite Apps – what skills / concepts does it address?
  6. Best tips and trick for efficiently using GOLD in your classroom
