Google released an update to Earth last night. I installed it this morning in time to see one of the new features – real-time sun. You can choose to have the light source for your view of the earth come from wherever the sun actually is at that moment in time. It is not a major update, but there are a number of sublte improvements across the application in the areas of navigation and video rendering particularly.
