The AP EXAM FALL Registration window is now open!  

October 1- 29th  Registration (Term 1 & 2 classes)

• If payment is not received by due date, you will NOT be registered for the test.
• No late registrations accepted.
• To have a test ordered, you MUST COMPLETE ALL 3 STEPS
  • STEP #1- Declare their intent to test in their College Board classroom“MyAP.CollegeBoard.org“ account. 
  • STEP #2- Register at: https://home.lps.org/lswtesting/ap/ (the button is right at the top of the page)
  • STEP #3- Pay for the Test
    • Payment Methods
      • Cash – Paid directly to the LSW Bookkeeper (print off & bring email confirmation receipt with payment
      • Check – Paid directly to the LSW Bookkeeper (or mailed), made out to Lincoln Southwest (Attn. bookkeeper)  Address:   Southwest High School    7001 S. 14th St.     Lincoln, Ne 68512  (print off & bring email confirmation receipt with payment)
      • Credit Card – Paid directly to the LSW Bookkeeper- we cannot accept payments over the phone (print off & bring email confirmation receipt with payment)
      • For an additional (small) fee you can pay online through your StudentVue account or directly at: https://www.myschoolbucks.com  Please give our bookkeeper 24 hrs from the time you complete step 2, the LSW Testing Google Form, for payment owed to show up online in your account.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

• • Pay $101 dollars (per test) to the bookkeeper- to be signed. 
  • If you qualify for Free/Reduced status the test fee is $62 dollars (per test)- you need to let the bookkeeper know when you pay.

WHY should your student take the AP Human Geography Exam?

1. Students are strongly encouraged to take the AP HuG Exam- both for the experience and the chance to earn 3 college credits for only $101!   
2. The AP Human Geography course is intended to prepare students for the AP Exam and the AP College Board highly suggests that all students who enroll in AP courses should take the AP Exams.
3. The AP Human Geography Exam has one of the highest passing rates in all of “Advanced Placement” land!  LSW students have a passing rate of 78% which is awesome for an AP Exam.  (This means 78% of LSW students earned a 3, 4 or 5 out of a 1-5 scoring system; 3 is considered passing by the AP College Board)
4. No college or university will know your student takes the exam or be able to see the score your student receives, UNLESS you select to have the AP Exam score sent to them!  So….why not try it?!
5. Plus…. LSW offers FREE review sessions outside of regular class time!

FREE REVIEW SESSIONS offered @ LSW

• Review sessions are optional, but students who choose to attend can greatly benefit from the material reviewed & discussed in large & small group activities.  
• We will focus on main ideas, important terms, models and theories from each Unit/Chapters.  Each session will focus on different topics and materials.
• Held in the spring and will start 4-5 weeks prior to the exam date.  

Late Testing is an option, but costs another $45 and this is out of our control- per AP College Board regulations, However, a few exceptions do apply, but we must follow strict guidelines placed by AP Board and ETS.  Read below for details.

Late fees can be waived IF you have a school sponsored conflict (Varsity sport, music, theater, speech/debate, etc.) but please talk with Mrs. Kelley to see if this applies to your situation as the AP College Board is very particular on what qualifies for a waived late fee and documentation will need to be submitted for approval.

The AP College Board is very strict in order to provide a secure and uniform testing environment.  All students around the world take the same exam at the exact same time, on the exact same day.  LSW & LPS must follow all of their rules in order to offer AP courses and exams.
