SIP meeting

Present: Kulas, Devine, (2nd grade out sick), Klaumann, Christensen, Perales, Spangler, Wright, Murphy, Bushaw, Bonaiuto
1. NeSA results are our AYP indicator. Dr. B. met with ESU evaluation personnel last week to review our student numbers, free/reduced lunch percentages, Special Education and ELL percentages. LPS has to turn in all corrections by Tuesday, Oct. 23rd. The Nebraska “State of the Schools” report will be out in mid-November. NePAS (Nebraska Public Accountability System) will rank all 249 Nebraska school districts by a student achievement number, so LPS wants to make sure all our results are accurate.
2. PLC Day October 30: Complete form and answer questions (See handout and emailed copy to SIP member.)
Due to Dr. B. by Friday, Nov. 2.
Update your students’ achievement information for end of 1st qtr. (or most recent data—chapter tests, report cards, etc).
Several questions to answer regarding how organizing Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Email copy of completed document to Dr. B.
3. What grade levels need for instructional conferences:
Committee reviewed placement of each grade’s SIP on DOCUSHARE.
Please put the September plan from PLC’s in the following on docushare then update:
- Randolph Elementary
- Randolph Elementary SIP planning – dancer
- 2012-13 SIP action plans
Instructional Conferences:
Wed., Nov. 7 for grades 4, 2, K. Friday, Nov. 9 for 5, 3, 1.
- A little change to form – added ERC information
- Tri-fold updated and info ready on every child’s intervention (below grade level)
- Dr. B will print out a report for grade level or each teacher depending on availability
- Due to Dr. B on Nov. 2
- Report cards due on Wed. 10/24
4. Review epinnacle for grades 3, 4, 5 DCAs, etc.
DCA? – Why no results on epinnacle? Science?
- Working on Chapter 5 so have not taken 1st one just yet
- Matt will be here Wed morning at 8:00 in the lounge – stop by to chat
5. NDE School Improvement Process Conference in Lincoln, Dec. 13 and 14. Kristin Christensen and Alesia Spangler are attending for Randolph, along with Dr. B.
