School Improvement Process (SIP) Team agenda for February 13, 2011

Present:  Karen, Keri, Sara, Kristin C., Randi Trish, Erin, Annette, Wendy B.

Standards rubric responses and action plan steps:
All first semester, SIP and teacher teams examined these standards and the accompanying rubrics, and rated our school’s efforts on each of the standards on which our school’s continuous improvement efforts will be “graded”.  The accreditation teams will use this information and the “evidence” we gather at our site visit, as our SIP work is evaluated.  Along with each rubric, there is a partial list of the “evidence” that would substantiate our ratings, as well as some comments, suggestions, or other ideas for artifacts.

Now, we need to examine these self-ratings and come up with the things we will do to improve our standing in the 5 standard areas.  That is the work of the SIP team, with input from your team members.  So, this month each of us will have a standard to examine and develop one idea for improvement (a must for any area with a “2” rating), or (for those indicators rated 3 or 4) a list of things to keep doing or do better.

Here are the standards, and the SIP member(s) working on each:
1.  Purpose and Direction            Karen and Wendy B.
2.  Governance                        Keri, Randi, and Wendy B.
3.  Teaching and Assessing for Learning                        Rob, Michelle, and Kristin C.
4.  Resources and Support Systems                         Trish, Erin, and Annette
5.  Using Results for Continuous Improvement            Sara and Wendy B.

By our NEXT meeting, March 19please have your reading and idea generation completed, and have listed the ideas for improvement at the end of your standard’s section.
