- Project 1 – Vacation Photo
- Find a photo of a vacation destination (The Sphinx, Eiffel Tower, Daytona, Grand Canyon) and place it on your desktop
- Take a picture of yourself that you can place in the vacation photo
- Open the vacation photo and resize to 5″X7″ or 7″X5″
- Place your picture in the vacation photo
- Save two file – vacation_FirstLastName.psd and vacation_FirstLastName.jpg
- Hand the jpg file into Docushare
- Grading based on:
- Picture resized correctly
- You picture placed correctly in photo
- Edges of your picture clean and clear
- Final picture looks realistic
- Photos blend well together (colors and size)
- Project 2 – Billboard
- New Photoshop Elements File
- Saved as Billboard_FirstLastName.psd
- Size is 10″ wide and 6″high
- RGB is 72 Pixals per inch
- You will be creating a billboard design for your favorite product (shoes, candy bar, cereal, pop, energy drink, restaurant, etc.)
- Blend the use of graphics, filters, effects, and drawing tools
- Add a logo or clever sales pitch with the text tool
- Incorporate a picture of the product on the billboard
- Grading based on:
- Text easy to read
- Logo appropriate/creative/fits product
- picture of product included and edges clean
- great blending of layers
- neat and not distracting
