    Spanish 1

    1. Review of boot and shoe verbs. Notes on Pensar conjugations and 2 meanings as well as ir + a + infinitive. P. 212 asi se dice phrases and meanings. Act. 16, 17 and 18 as well as nota cultural on pl 213. Activities were written and discussed for speaking points.

    2. Verb infinitive worksheet. 5 minutes in class to work on, this needs to be completed when come to class tomorrow. No late credit. Quiz on Wednesday.

    Spanish 2

    1. imperfect verb practice and vocabulary work. Asi phrases 196 and speaking practice p. 197.

    2. Workbook pages 54-56, do activities 1,2,3,,5,6. Bring 5 items and/or photos from your childhood for presentation

    Spanish 1

    1. Review with vocabulary and verb conjugations of preferir. Credit given for homework completion and many opportunities given for speaking points.

    2. p. 208 Así se dice phrases discussed and practiced. 2 listening activities, Act. 9 and Act. 12. Act. 12 used as practice for reading part of quiz tomorrow. Format of quiz discussed.

    3. Students used white boards to practice verb conjugations and vocabulary for Quiz tomorrow. Make sure that verb conjugations of the following verbs are memorized….spelling will count! empezar, preferir, venir, tener, querer.

    Spanish 2

    1. New speaking partners and speaking activity for points and practice.

    2. primer paso vocab p. 219 pronounced and discussed.

    3. Notes on the imperfect tense. Verb chart filled out as well.

    4. p. 195 Act. 6 on own and then with partner discussion.

    5. p. 196 Asé phrases pronounced and practice listening activity with Act. 7. Listening for phrases and verb conjugations to tell if things happened now or in the past.

    Note: This new verb tense and vocab will be practiced with a “show and tell” of sorts next week. Be thinking/finding 5 items or pictures of things from when you were a child. Maestra shared some of hers, handprint mold when 5, jacks, family photo, Barbie doll, girl scout pins. We will use the items Monday or Tuesday. Maestra will have a locked place for safekeeping of items Monday.

    1. Writing activity 7 p. 208 – practicing telephone conversations in Spanish. Vocab pronunciation and review of previous vocab and connections to current vocabulary.

    2. Practice introductions as a class and in pairs.

    3. Introductions assessment.

    4. p. 54 workbook Act. 3 – stem changing verb conjugating.

    Homework – p. 53 in workbook, time in class to finish. Quiz on Friday.

    Spanish 1

    1. Review of uses of hacer in sentences.

    2. p. 207 – Talking on the telephone, additional vocab and listening activity. Phrases need to be memorized for Quiz on Friday.

    3. Notes on stem- changing verbs and review of go-go verbs. Querer, Preferir, Empezar, Teneer, Venir. Memorize for Quiz on Friday.

    4. Practice time for introductions tomorrow. These need to be memorized.

    Spanish 1

    1. New seats. Speaking and listening practice with the letter r. Review of numbers and telephone numbers in Spanish.

    2. Ecuador culture information. Reading with partner pp. 201-202. DVD clip and discussion.

    3. Introduction to the class in Spanish mini-project. Students will share the following information in complete Spanish sentences. Name, age, 2 descriptions about self, hair color, eye color, something they like to do and something they don’t like to do. Eye contact and preparation (memorized) will be part of the grading. Students were given enough time in class to write this information in Spanish in class. It must be complete by class bell tomorrow, so finish at home if not completed in class.

    Spanish 2

    1. Writing practice with pretert forms of traer, servir, pedit. Listtening practice with the same verb forms.

    2. Info handed out and page numbers discussed to study for test.

    3. Speaking practice with questions from the entire chapter.

    4. Vocab sheet – students started filling it out in class without text. Finish at home and then check with the book to help with Test study.

    Chapter Test Wednesday. Missing work due tomorrow.

    1. Review of food vocabulary. Continued work with foods using menus from Mexico and worksheet. Pronunciation work with the menus.

    1. Vocab review from Chapter 6 as warm-up. Credit given for  competed activities, mas parctica grammatical pp. 190-193. Discussed.

    2. Listening practice with 6.3 vocabulary.

    3. Verb practice with white boards.

    4. Chapter vocab sheet passed out. Students are to fill in without text and then check with textbook. This will help students know what vocab they already know and what they need to work on more.
