    What a heart!!  Pound Student Council and Cool Crew earned $370 from the Hearts for Haiti Valentine’s week sales!  Thank you for your contributions!  8th grade social studies classes did research and they determined, via the Clinton/Bush Haiti Relief Fund, that 100% of our fund would go directly to help the Haitian people during this time of great need.  Thank you Pound students and a special thank you to the FCS class for their baked contributions!

    Order your Yearbook on Mondays and Wednesdays before and after school in the commons for $20 each.  This is a wonderful way to remember your years here at Pound Middle School!!

    The Alpha Gamma Chapter of Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. would like to invite the young women of Pound Middle School to the fourth annual Latina Youth Leadership Conference for female middle school students on April 9, 2010. This is a chance to observe a college environment, as well as participated in workshops presented by the ladies of Lambda Theta Nu.  The conference is free, your parents are encouraged to attend, and it lasts for one school day.  If you are interested, please see your counselor for an application today!!

    6TH GRADE

    No snacks today for 6th grade due to a mess with ice cream in the serving line and messes left at tables.  If you make a mess, clean it up!                                                                                                                        Administration

    8TH GRADE

    Remember 8th graders, the window to make changes to your 9th grade schedule online closes this weekend.  If you have not talked with your parents about your classes for next year, please do so asap.  The deadlines for making changes online are today (Friday) if you are going to Southwest and Sunday if you are going to Southeast or East.  If you are going to one of the other schools, see Mrs. Hodges about your deadline.
