Brittany Taylor Nelson – 6th Grade Counselor

I would like to take some time to introduce myself. My name is Brittany Taylor Nelson and I am the new 6th grade counselor. Before last year ended, I came to shadow Mrs. Dady and I have been in touch with her throughout the summer so that we can try and make this a seamless transition.

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. I look forward to offering support to the Schoo students, staff, families, and community. I will be meeting with students individually, in small groups, conducting classroom counseling lessons, collaborating with teachers and staff, and consulting with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Schoo students. I am here to help support students, parents, and staff, so that students can achieve their social, emotional, academic, and personal goals. I say all because I believe that all students deserve to achieve success. It is my privilege to foster students’ and teachers’ skills, knowledge, and awareness needed in order to proactively educate and provide equitable and adequate resources to identify and remove possible barriers to student achievement.

All the best,

Brittany Taylor Nelson

6th Grade Schoo Counselor
