Our reading program focuses on the following:
- More technology will be used in instruction with online workspace for both teachers and students.
- You will see higher text complexity; at least half of all text is informational.
- Students will get support for more difficult text by beginning with shorter selections, reading parts multiple times, and hearing text read aloud.
- Students will be asked to have conversations about their reading.
- Student will be asked to write about their reading.
- When answering questions about reading, students will asked to support their answers with evidence from the text.
- There will be increased emphasis on vocabulary and grammar
