Hello!  I wanted to share a few things about myself with you, so you could get to know me a little better.

I have been teaching in Lincoln Public Schools for 25 years.  I have taught everything from kindergarten through 6th grade.  I can honestly say, my heart is with 6th grade.  It is a great year, full of transitions an excitement.  I have been at Lux teaching 6th grade for 11 years.  I have taught math, science and language arts, but now I only teach language arts.  It is so wonderful to be able to spend over 2 hours a day with my students.  I feel like we really understand each other and can build a great learning community throughout the year!

When I’m not teaching you can find me spending time with my family.  I am married to Dan who works at Deluxe Marketing. We have 3 children, Ryan, Aaron and Kendra.  This year all three of our children will be in college.  Ryan is finishing up his Art and Technology degree at The Ohio State University.  He has just finished up a long swimming career, ending with 4 years as a Buckeye swimmer.  Aaron is a junior at Missouri University of Science and Technology.  He is working on a degree in Business Administration.  He plays football, so on many weekends Dan and I will be making the trek to southern Missouri to watch him play.  Our daughter, Kendra, is beginning her college career at the University of Nebraska.  Her current major is International Business.  She loves to travel and spent time teaching children in Honduras this summer.  She is hoping to go back again next summer.

As the year progresses we will all learn more about each other.  Everyone has talents and skills to share and I can’t wait to meet each one of you and help you show them off!
