8th: Today we reviewed the properties of waves and how to identify each.  Quiz tomorrow!

7th: Today we finished out mass, volume and density lab.  After that, we started in on section 1.3 in the text over changes in matter.  Tomorrow’s quiz will be over sections 1.1 and 1.2.

8th: Last day in my class for ITBS testing.  The makeups will be done tomorrow, but my class we’ll get back into waves.

8th: Today we started in on the ITBS testing.

7th: Today we went over measuring matter (section 1.2 in the text) and talked a lot about chemistry.  I also introduced them to a very cool Nova/PBS video called Hunting the Elements.  Great stuff!

8th: Today we started practicing for the ITBS testing which will happen tomorrow and Wednesday of this week.  Thursday will be make up tests and I’ll start teaching about waves again.

7th: Today we reviewed a little of describing matter and moved onto measuring matter.  No homework.

8th: Today we constructed a transverse wave which detailed our daily activities, and then we talked about how we are going to review for the ITBS testing next week.  No homework!

7th: Today we reviewed matter and go through a worksheet on compounds and mixtures.  No homework!

8th: Intro into transverse and longitudinal waves.  Section 1.1 guided reading should have been completed in class.  No quiz tomorrow!

8th: Today we started in on sound and light and dove right into what waves are.  I’ve given them a guided reading for section 1.1 in the new text.

7th: Today we finished the earthquake building labs, and many kids need to finish their lab reports and get it handed in.  After that, we started in on matter in the new text.

8th: Quiz over the sun, inner and outer planets.

7th: Today is the rock cycle quiz and the start of our seismic event lab!

8th: Today we went over section 3.4 in our text over the outer planets.  Tomorrow we will be having a quiz over the sun, the inner and outer planets.

7th: Today we finished up our build on the earthquake house and reviewed the rock cycle.  Quiz tomorrow.

8th: Today we worked through the inner planets, and tomorrow we start on the outer planets.  They have homework that needs to get finished!!
