Hello scholars,

Here is a little information about your instructor, Mrs. Petersen:

I graduated from Lincoln High School and then attended UNL where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, teaching endorsements in Chemistry and Biology, as well as a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Education.

Outside of teaching, I like to spend time with my husband and son.  You will likely hear antics about my son in class.  I ride my bicycle to school more often than not and have been a long distance runner for years.  I like to read and listen to a lot of public radio.

This is my 11th year teaching chemistry at LSE and I take this work seriously. I continuously try to improve my craft with professional development and collaboration.  I truly believe that education is ongoing, empowering, and improves the quality of life for all. Whether or not you enjoy this course, you should strive to succeed and be open with your instructor when you need help.  I expect your best effort and in return, you will have mine.
