Summer is going quickly. I am busy preparing for school already! I look forward to an exciting year. Enjoy your summer and I will see you soon.
WELCOME! The school year is quickly approaching. As soon as it starts it will be over. The 5th grade year is busy and goes very fast. I look forward to meeting you at Open House. The Classroom theme is “Making our Mark”. I have decided to further our theme by focusing on the “50’s” and how that time period has made a mark in our lives today. We will also have a student teacher for part of our school year. His name is Shawn Larsen. I am excited to have him join our community of learners. If you’d like to come to school with school supplies here is a list of optional supplies to bring and those you can leave at home:
Facial tissue (to share with class)
Yellow #2 Pencils (to share with class)
Erasers
Headphones for Chromebooks (optional) – Many students like to have there own, but I do have a class set in my room.
Ink pen (Red/Blue/or Black) NO GEL PENS! Bic Ink Pens are expected
Markers or colored pencils to keep in backpack – I have a class set students can use.
Low Odor Expo Markers Fine or Bullet point (to share with
class)
Do Not Bring
white out
toys or trinkets of any kind
staplers
pencils with toys or trinkets on top
Individual Pencil Sharpeners or
G2 Gel Pens
Pencil Boxes (I will provide one for each student)
Trapper Keepers (Too large to keep in desk!)
