Each year, students in grades 4-6 visit Sheldon Art Gallery as part of the art curriculum. The visit supports Core Ability 6 ‘Live with Art’.
Tour A (typically Grade 4) focuses on the museum itself including the structure.
Tour B (typically Grade 5) stresses exhibits.
Tour C (typically Grade 6 in middle school) visits the outdoor sculpture gallery.
Students are prepared by Mr. Reeker in art class and then accompanied by classroom teachers on the tour. Mr. Reeker does a follow up discussion with students when they return.
