Spanish 1

Warm-up practicing phrases from yeseterday. Speaking practice and notes on pronunciation of the alphabet. Then we went to the Computer lab and students did the following activities, login name and password for online text were given to students.

3. One of your most valuable resources is the Classzone.com website. Click on the link.

a. Start with the “@hometutor.” Enter your name and choose a level. (Try B the first time).Click on “Lección Preliminar- Práctica. Skip number 1 and only do blue number 2. click the correct answers.

b. Click on the “flashcards” section. Practice the first 28 flashcards.

c.     When you have finished “a” and “b” , click on the“Session Report” button and then the “Click Here to email (it looks like an envelope)this summary” button. Put in my email address (bmullen@lps.org) and then just make up an email address for the student email. Send the report to me by clicking the “Submit” button.

4. Go back to the main  “Classzone.com”  and scroll down to the bottom left corner. Click on the “2010 Online Book”.  Type in your username and password. You will need to enter this information anytime you want to use the online book.

a. Select “Lección Preliminar: and go to page 6.  Read pages 6 and 7 and use your blue vocab list from yesterday to help. Then go to page 8 Act 4 – write the number and letter for this activity on your piece of paper. Write out Act 5 in complete sentences on your paper to hand in tomorrow.

5. Go back to my website. Click on the “StudySpanish.com” link.

Click on “Pronunciation – Spanish vowels.” How long does it take Spanish-speaking children to    master spelling and why is this so? Write answer on your paper.

6. Write the name of someone famous that you admire/like…..also include what they are famous for and why you like them.

Hand in your paper to me tomorrow with answers to 1, 2,4, 5, 6. Did you email me your results for number 3?

Answers that aren’t spelled correctly or don’t have correct accents will be counted incorrect. There are accent keys at the bottom of the activity. Use them!

b. Click on the “Gramática” section. Choose any two of Prácticas 1-4. Check your answers after each activity. (You can try each activity more than once.)

c. When you have finished at least 3 activities (from “a” and “b” above), click on the “Session Report” button and then the “Click Here to email this summary” button. Put in my email address (bmullen@lps.org) and then just make up an email address for the student email. Send the report to me by clicking the “Submit” button.

Select “Lección Preliminar: and go to page 5. Write the forms of the verb “ser” on your verb chart (note there is no space for vosotros). The go to page 9, write the forms of “tener” on your verb chart then write out the answers for Act 7 page 9. You have the model.
