I grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska, just 30 miles north of Lincoln. I graduated from Wahoo High School in 2002. My college years were spent here in Lincoln.  I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2002-2006.  My husband and I continue to live in Lincoln with our son Braydon and our daughter Evynn.

This is my fourteenth year teaching at Brownell. In 2006-2007 I taught 3rd grade. I then switched to second grade for 8 years!  In 2015-2016 I earned a “promotion” to 4th grade! This will be my second year teaching Intervention and Computer Science!

I completed the Primarily Math program through UNL in the summer of 2012.  I then completed a graduate school program and graduated in August 2013 with my Masters from the college of Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education with a minor in mathematics. During the 2018-2019 school year, I completed the Creating Coaches Cadre.  This summer, I spent two weeks taking several Computer Science related graduate courses through UNL.

I am looking forward to working with all the Brownell families again this year! Brownell is truly a great place to do our BEST!  Believe! Excel! Succeed Together!  Our HERD is better with each and everyone of you in it!  Don’t forget to be Honest, Express Respect, Responsible, and Determined so you can be an important member of our HERD!
