The LPS Solo and Ensemble Night is an opportunity for students to enhance their vocal experiences. Lux students who are already a member of one of the morning choirs and/or D’LUX Singers and D’light Singers can audition for a spot to perform a solo or ensemble song in front of a judge at the Solo and Ensemble Night on Tuesday, April 7 at Scott MS 6:00-8:30pm. Each school can only take a certain number of acts, so each ensemble or solo may need to audition for a spot. Students should sign up with Mrs. Nelson by Friday, February 7, 2020 and return the parent permission form by Monday, Feb. 10. We will work together to select an appropriate song for each student’s voice. The students will be accompanied by our accompanist, Mrs. Sich, and will need to set up a weekly rehearsal time with us. This could be during lunch times or a before or after school time. The judges prefer NOT to hear today’s POP music, Disney, and Broadway……but, Folk songs and Art songs—if they fit the range of the student’s voice.
