(Annette at Testing Coordinators’ meeting.)

Agenda:

  1. LOGISTICS:

Common Areas (school –wide, non-classroom, classroom)

  • Outside morning – Walk and Talk
  • Inside morning – expectations for students in the building early= Please review expectations with students. Before school supervisors on indoor days should wait until 8:55 to allow students into classrooms, unless students are invited in by the teacher. Grade 3: can use top of stair landing, too, for Keller’s third graders to sit before school.

Indoor days: Dr. B. uses the temperature, wind chill, wind gust, and precipitation information, as well as the amount of clouds/sun to determine if students are indoors before school and at recesses. (For example, a 20 degree day with sun would be an outdoor day, while a 20 degree day with high wind and no sun might be an indoor day.) Dr. B. uses the National Weather Service web site for data.

  • Indoor recess – What children can do at indoor recess should be posted so recess supervisors know. (K-1-2 teachers have in sub folders since they do their own lunch recess supervision.)
  • Traffic/Student Safety: Families will be reminded to NOT drop students off on the street side of D Street. Michelle brought up that students cross D Street at the 38th Street intersection. She and Laura O. will take a stop sign to that area each day, and begin a crossing guard process there.

  2. Susie: Review first semester office referral data: see notes on the Kindness Campaign developed by Susie in response to this data.

  5. Nancy: Updated Randolph’s PBIS Action Plan for 2014-15 by adding the data collection, reporting, and analyzing steps used by GET ( see items a, b, c above.)
