Many schools use “WebEvent” for their web site calendar. If the calendar on your school’s web site says “powered by WebEvent” in the top-right, then your calendar is one of these. School calendars based on WebEvent will eventually be migrated to Zimbra calendars.
Because WebEvent is a completely separate system from our primary mail/calendar system for staff, WebEvent will be able to continue running after the Zimbra migration. Calendars that are currently being maintained in WebEvent will continue to be that way after the January Zimbra upgrade.
WebEvent calendars are not able to be easily exported in a format that can be imported into Zimbra, so our expectation is that most will prefer to stay with WebEvent for the current school year and then, when it comes times to put events on next year’s calendar, put those in Zimbra and switch to that calendar. However, if you either do not have many events or do not mind re-entering your events, school calendars can be switched to Zimbra at any time.
