Congratulations to the following students from the 6th, 7th and 8th grades that are this week’s “Spotlight Students”!  Each week Pound is recognizing a student from each team who is making a positive difference.  This is our way of acknowledging their hard work and positive influence in our school.  This week’s honorees are:

6th Grade        Brian Meyer and Delanie Smith

7th Grade         Oliver Mullison and Kaitlin Maxwell

8th Grade         Jake Smith and Ilum Hansen

CONGRATULATIONS!!! This week they have “front of the line” privileges, free popcorn on Popcorn Wednesday and other cool recognitions. Give your best effort and show kindness to others and you might be the next “Spotlight Student!”

Did you ever want to learn the secrets of solving the Rubik’s Cube?  That is, without removing the stickers?  Do you already know how and want to help other people learn to Rubik?  Then come to Room 211 on Wednesday, March 2nd from 3:10 – 4:00.  Please arrange for rides ahead of time.  Mr. Furse.

The Sing and Swing choir will be back on its normal rehearsal schedule this week which is from 3:00 to 3:45 on Thursdays.

ARCHERY:  6th grade Thursday, March 3rd.

    ARCHERY:  7th & 8th grade  Tuesday,  March 1st.

Anybody interested in the State Archery Tournament-have your money in the main office by Friday, March 4th.   T-shirt money is also due on Friday March 4th.

    7th GRADE

Seventh graders are NOT to bring books, etc. to the cafeteria when you come for lunch unless you are reporting to the blue table for making up work for a teacher.  Otherwise, all 7th graders are to take their books to their lockers before coming to lunch.  NO exceptions without special permission from an administrator.

    8TH GRADE

All 8th graders!!  Remember, Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1st.  High school counselors will come to talk about registration issues.  Most high school counselors will be registering you for high school.  Come prepared, know what room you are assigned.  Report there for first period.  Tonight’s homework, figure out what classes you need to sign up for.  Any questions?  Write them down and ask the High school counselor tomorrow!!  GOOD LUCK!!

Students who bring their books to the cafeteria at lunch must put them on a shelf ONLY.  Do NOT put your books on the floor.  Also, you MUST take your books with you to period six and NOT leave them in the cafeteria.  The shelves will be cleared every day and anything left will be held hostage in Dr. Deibler’s office.  You will have to come to him to get yours back, and it won’t be easy.
