  1. Read your two articles, take notes and look for the words you do not know. Find the definition of those words in the dictionary (wordreference.com) and write down those words and definitions in the Google Doc (named Articles/Your Name). Share this document with Madame. You must have at least 5 words with definitions for EACH article (so, 10 words all together!).
  2. Write down a summary of each article IN FRENCH in your own words. The summary must mention key ideas of the article and must have at least 5 sentences.  (Please put your summaries on the same Google Doc as your vocab words). You also must have a copy of your article (most likely you will share a link to the article on your Google Doc). Do not “get burned” on using Google Translator.
  3. Submit the final version of this Google Doc by the end of the day (11:59 pm) on Tuesday, February 17th. Again it will have three things: a) 10 vocab words, b) two summaries, c) two links to your articles.

PARTIE C : Créez un poster et un slogan pour promouvoir un aspect de votre cause écologique.

  1. After your research and the study of the two articles, you are going to create a poster to promote the awareness of your subject. For example, you are going to create an advertisement for an awareness day of your cause (i.e. Journée mondiale de l’eau). You can also create a poster to educate general francophone public on your subject (les faits importants, par exemple).
  2. You must create a creative, original slogan in French on your poster. This slogan must be connected to your subject (of course!).
  3. You must bring your poster to the class on Thursday, February 19th. You may draw, paint, use photos, or the combination of all, it is up to you. Be creative!

PARTIE D: You will present your poster on Monday, February 23. You must submit your presentation script on Thursday, February 19.

Your presentation:

1. Must be in FRENCH.

2. Must be at least 2 minutes in length, and you must address the following questions:

Pourquoi est-ce que tu as choisi ce sujet?

Pourquoi ton sujet est important? (Quel est le problème et pourquoi il faut faire attention à ce problème?). Partage les faits très importants (minimum de 5 fait).

Qu’est-ce que chaque personne doit faire pour aider?

Wednesday, February 18 – Work on poster, bring you poster to class.
