Professional Background

I attended and graduated from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE in 2008.  Coming from the Omaha area I loved the small town feel of going to college in Wayne.  I have my bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Math and Business.  My passion is Math though and I can’t wait to share that passion with my students.

After I graduated, I substitute taught in the Wayne area for about a year and a half.  When my husband graduated, we moved to Omaha where I taught 6-12 alternative education in Millard, NE.  I spent 2 1/2 years working to keep students on track when they were suspended and expelled from school as well as getting dropouts on track to get a Millard diploma.

When we moved to Lincoln, I started working for Lincoln Family Service doing before and after school care at Prescott Elementary, then Saratoga Elementary.  I really enjoyed working with the kids but wanted to get back to Math and being in a classroom.

This will be my first time working in a traditional classroom, and I cannot wait to teach students how to love math as much as I do!  I can’t wait meet my students and their families!
