Growing Up Years:
I grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska on a cattle ranch. I attended a very small school through 9th grade and then finished up at a larger school, Bennett County High School, in Martin, SD.
College:
I received my BA in Education, 1975, from UNK (which was then called Kearney State College)
I added a Middle Level Endorsement, 1999, from UNL
I received a MA in Education, 2001, from UNL
I earned my PhD in Educational Technology/Educational Studies, 2009, from UNL
Teaching:
I began my teaching career in central Nebraska and then took time to be at home raising my two children. I returned to teaching in 1998, teaching Science at Beatrice Middle School, Beatrice NE. In 1999, I joined the LPS teaching staff and have taught Math and Science at Dawes Middle School, math at Goodrich at Dawes Middle School and currently I am teaching 8th Grade Math and Algebra at Scott Middle School.
Family:
I am married and have two children. My husband is in sales, my son is an electrical engineer and my daughter is a Physician Assistant.
