images-1One of the major components of the PBiS process is identifying, teaching, and reinforcing expectations for behavior. Every child should know what they need to do in order to be successful at school and adults need to respond to behaviors consistently. Why is being consistent important? If children know the consequences of a behavior, then they are more likely to modify their behavior and make better choices. Being consistent puts action behind our words. Children know we mean what we say.   “It comes down to integrity: meaning what you say, saying what your mean, and following through with what you promise.” – Hal Runkel
